Local Charm is handmade jewelry and upcycled art by Renee Strickland. We mix vintage pieces with modern materials to give them new life, and turn broken or unwanted items into something worth wearing.
Every piece is made to order in small batches — no two beads exactly the same, just like the people who wear them.

I'm Renee, mom of two teenage girls, certified pharmacy infusion tech by day, beading wonder by night. I started making jewelry with my mom and sister as a teenager, set it down when life got busy, and picked it back up thanks to my girlfriend Tabi — my biggest cheerleader.
I make things I would wear myself. Functional, beautiful, a little different. No two beads exactly the same, and I hope what I make finds the people it was meant for.
